A belated, but heartfelt, congratulations to Anna Crawford, who just defended her PhD thesis August 1 on Ice Island Deterioration!  Well done Anna and all the best for the future!!!

Derek Mueller, Yulia Antropova, Jérémie Bonneau (UBC) and Drew Friedrichs (UCDavis) are now back from Milne Fiord on Ellesmere Island.  It was a fun adventure and we had a successful field season!  Thanks to Drew who live-tweeted our progress under the handle @MilneFiord2018.

Congrats Jill and colleagues on being featured in the December issue of Owl Magazine!  It's great for kids to see what life is like on board Canada's research icebreaker and learn about the research that ArcticNet does.

Martin and Adam's UAV work on sea ice was featured in a video presentation by GPS/UAV navigation manufacturer Emlid at this year's Intergeo conference and trade show in Berlin.
